Description
This audio play is a true story based on the autobiography of Moses James Nobbs. It tells of his long service as the UK’s last-ever Royal Mail Coach-Guard.
Moses Nobbs worked the Cheltenham to Aberystwyth route, crossing both the Radnor Forest and Plynlimmon in fair weather and foul.
His simply-told story is one of amazing courage and endurance, providing vivid illustration of the hardships, then considered normal, by those who operated Royal Mail coaches.
The dramatisation is performed by members of Blaenau Gwent Heritage Forum and was recorded and produced by ‘Cymru Creations Film and Media’ at ‘Made in Tredegar’ Studios.
