Excavation work has continued on the site of two prehistoric huts on a mountainside in the Cwmcelyn valley. The dwellings are believed to have been used from the Neolithic to Bronze age and were discovered in 2015. The local Aberystruth Archaeological Society have been undertaking excavations during the last 6 weeks and already unearthed some important information. Members say there is still a lot of work to do but it is worthwhile to discover more about the borough’s ancient inhabitants.
