As a Forum we are all deeply saddened to hear of the very recent, and sudden, death of Brian Davies of Mountain Ash. He made a significant contribution to the heritage of Wales during his lifetime and was very much admired. It was only a couple of months ago that he gave a fascinating, and very enjoyable, talk to us on the ‘History of Miners’ Lamps’ at our Heritage Day. He will be very much missed.
