Janet’s Ancestry Research
As a Forum we receive quite a few interesting requests from people who are keen to find out more about past members of their families who lived in the Blaenau Gwent area. Our committee members are passionate about local history and understand the attraction of connecting with our ancestors too. However, researching family history accurately is skilled and specialist work which most of us are not really qualified to do. We are very lucky though, to have one member of our team who is.
Janet is a long-standing, and much valued, member of BGHF where she works as our secretary. She has been a professional librarian for over 20 years and during this time has studied for, and gained, a variety of extra qualifications in local and family history, and genealogy.
These give her expertise in researching, understanding and interpreting old documents accurately, so clients can feel very confident that the results they receive will be accurate. Janet does charge for her services, but this is understandable.
